When I bought my first vacation rental in 2014, I had no idea what I was getting into or how much I was going to love hosting guests. 

My vacation rental business was a side-hustle to a full-time marketing executive role and also an extra responsibility to my role as Chief Home Officer to our family of five. Does this sound familiar? 

So, when it came to the running of my vacation rental, I knew I had to invest in automation and systems to simplify my business while delivering guest-centric communication and experiences. I've spent the last decade immersing myself into and navigating everything around the world of vacation rentals, as well as perfecting the guest experience.

In 2021, we added a beach property to our vacation rental portfolio and both our properties consistently outperform in my markets and rank at the top for bookings. I have a balanced approach to vacation rental marketing that includes the listing sites (Airbnb/Vrbo), social media, a direct website and repeat bookings. As my guest list has grown, so has my revenue! And over 50% of all my bookings are now from returning guests, a major factor in increased profitability.
